Custom YES Summer Internship Programme 2025 is now open for application.
Participating students will be given the opportunity to work as interns within the Customs and Excise Department (C&ED) or companies of C&ED counterparts, enabling them to build valuable work experience and networks, explore their career directions and interests, and prepare for future career development.
This year, the Programme consists of the following two recruitment phases:
Phase 1: Customs Formations (Application closed)
In Phase 1 recruitment, interns will work within Customs formations, where they could gain an in-depth understanding of Customs daily operations. Interns will be engaged under non-civil service appointment with a monthly allowance of HK$11,200.

Qualifications: | Applicants must be: | ||
1. permanent residents of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region at the time of appointment unless specified otherwise; and 2. currently enrolled in full-time degree courses of postsecondary institutions locally or overseas. |

Remarks: | Each applicant could only apply for one post of Summer Intern in the Customs and Excise Department. Applicants who apply for more than one post will not be considered. | ||

Phase 2: Customs Counterparts (Application closed)
In Phase 2 recruitment, companies of C&ED counterparts will offer internship placements from various industries. Interns will be employed directly by the organisation. The internship salary will be provided by the organization. The organisation will determine the employment terms and conditions with reference to current market situation, nature of internship and statutory requirements.
Eligible members meet the entry requirements of their preferred placements will be invited for an online preliminary interview by Customs YES Secretariat. Qualified applicants will be invited for an interview with the recruiting companies / organisations between May and June 2025.

Applicants who are currently studying in local post-secondary institutions should apply through the Student Affairs Offices/Career Centres of their respective institutions and observe the deadline set by the respective institutions. Other applicants should submit the completed application form with Annex - Priority list by email to customsyes@customs.gov.hk on or before 12 May 2025 (Mon), together with all supporting documents listed below: 1. Detailed personal resume; and 2. A copy of proof of student status; and 3. A copy of academic qualification certificate(s); and 4. A copy of public examination certificate(s); and 5.
